Out to Graze in the Front Yard

This year our goal is to fence in the front field in divided fields and get the barn rebuilt on our property.  Our goats are happy and healthy.  All goats in the herd over 6 months old have been CAE, Johnnes, and CL tested and are negative.  We vaccinate yearly and deworm on a routine schedule.

UPDATE:  Our herd was tested by Dr. Victor Wakefield of Lewisburg Animal Clinic here in town and we tested NEGATIVE for CAE/CL/and Johnnes for 6-5-06!!

We will be retesting April of 2008.

Due to health issues in the livestock industry we can no longer loan out our herd sires for breeding outside of our herd.  Our herd is closed and tested for CAE/CL/Johnnes and we cannot afford to bring any diseases of this nature or any other into our herd.  Thank you for understanding.  We will be glad to sell any of our bucklings available as herd sires before 8 weeks of age if they meet our approval for conformation and background to keep as such.  If they are not sold by 8 weeks of age as bucklings they will be wethered by our vet and sold as pet wethers without registration papers.

Our goats are members of the family and are treated as such.  We will have 4 bucks for this fall's breeding selection and will be able to choose our breedings for the first time ever!

In selecting our registered stock we sought out doelings and our herd sire buck from lines that showed good conformation and udders.  Their pedigrees show quality show and milking promise. We hopefully will be attending and participating in the State Fair in 2008 with our ND's!
