Critterhaven Farm Breeding Schedule

 These dates are approximate. My Yahoo Farm group will be notified first of any kids as soon as they are born, then within a week they are posted to the other groups and on various places on the internet. 

We now have a buck pen so there are NO bucks in with the herd.  Therefore we can now PLAN breedings.  Of course all future breedings are tentative based on the health of the doe and buck being bred and other factors.

We reserve the right to retain any kid at any time up til the time it is picked up for the future of our herd. Absolutely NO baby will be sold until it is determined it is fit to go to it's new home. 

You can verbally reserve your choice of breeding at any time but no money will be taken until the kid is actually here.  Upon evaluation of said kid you will be notified of availability of the breeding of your choice. At that time a 50% deposit is required to hold your baby until pickup and at that time the remainder of the balance must be paid by CASH only at time of pickup at the farm.

Babies MUST be picked up within 2 weeks of them being able to be sold. In other words if they are weaned at 8 weeks you have til they are 10 weeks to pick them up.  No holds past the two week mark.

We are only raising Nigerian Dwarf goats now so we may or may not have minis depending on if the nubian dams have been sold or not. 

Our babies are dam raised if at all possible.  We do however provide the dam raised babies with a special milk formula in one bottle a day in order to tame them and in case of emergency allow them to know what a bottle is.  Our babies are handled daily and left with the herd.  This allows them to still like people but also be a goat. We believe it is important that they have the herd mentality, even the bottle babies. 

All of our pregnant dams are given CD/T and Selenium shots one month prior to giving birth.  The kids receive a CD/T vaccine at disbudding, then again two weeks later.  We treat at 2 weeks old with Sulmet for 10 days as a precaution, then again at 5 weeks.  We will tattoo them prior to the sale.

I have too many people emailing me so I do not keep a want list for people.  If you want to be notified of when babies are born or be first to know, then you need to join the group.  They are given first choice on what is born.  A few days after I post to my group I then post to the general public of availability of babies.
